Wendy Greenwood BA (Hons.)
Wendy gained a BA(Hons) in Art and Design from the University College of Ripon and York St. John, specialising in Ceramics and Furniture Design. She also studied Graphic Design, an influence which can still be seen in her work.
Her influences come from the people and the places she knows, historic art and architecture especially churches.
She adores colour finding inspiration in Natures palette. Exploring and blending colours together.
Using the transparencies of her chosen material to play with light and dark, bringing another dimension to her art.
Wendy has been working with kiln formed glass for the last five years. She thrives on pushing the boundaries of this liquid of materials, continually challenging the limits of possibilities, sometimes succeeding sometimes failing but always learning. She looks to contain space in different dimensions, she looks to present new forms of utility, and she looks to show the beauty of form.
